29th July 2010                       Wangkha Bulls produced 33 kareys and yet had to contend with 4 points from the afternoon upper bacho match. It was the team ‘Quality Gases Pvt. Ltd’ comprising mainly of seasoned archers that got the six points with 37 kareys – the day’s team highest total. The players of the other opponent – the Thimphu United had also number of seasoned archers but could deliver only 21 kareys for their second two point win in their third league match today. They now total 62 kareys and 8 team points. One of the strongest contenders of 2009 is now out of competition.

 

It was at same bacho, in the morning that Karma Sherab of Yuktah produced 12 kareys – the individual day high. With today’s total of 32 kareys, his team won their second five points this time from Gaden Phunsum and Gangkhaps. Gaden Phunsum, after adding 25 kareys in today’s match to bring their total to 66 kareys and 8 team points has played their last match today. Gangkhaps could follow the suit if they don’t improve their performance from 28 kareys and 3 team points today.

 

In the other morning match, Mepham Yuegyel took the 6 points with their 24 kareys from Jungshi Six Bros and Comrades United. In the afternoon, at the same bacho, KST hit 30 kareys to win their six from Takshen Chunduk and Young Stars. The two teams of KST and Takshen Chunduk were playing their last league match and they total same total team points of 16 each and almost karey total of 87 and 84. It was second two points win for the Young Stars and with such performance their progress will end young.

 

Sometimes youth does seem to lag. The seasoned archers of Quality Gases amplify the fact, with today’s second straight win and with same high karey total. Their consistency does prove their abilities.
