28th July 2010                       in their third league match today, Laya Tours hit 36 kareys – the day’s highest, to bring their total to 96 kareys and 16 team points. Their captain Namgay Dorji hit 11 kareys which remained to be the highest individual of the day. Laya Tours overcame GNH and Ghathuen at this lower bacho morning match. GNH also completed their league by bringing their total to 74 kareys after adding 30 today. They have 9 points. Will they qualify? Maybe not. Are they happy? Could be.

Ghathuen hit 11 kareys – the lowest of the day. At the other upper bacho, Kabjib Nga hit just one more karey than Ghathuen when they were playing against Fosters and Himalayan Hunters. Fosters took the six points with their 22 karey total. They now have 79 kareys and 14 team points. Himalayan Hunters playing their second match hit 21 kareys for four points today.

In the afternoon at the lower bacho, spectators eagerly awaited to see how much Karma Dorji could add to his earlier total of 20 kareys. At the end of 15 rounds, Karma added 9 today. His team the ‘Druk Star’ would surely qualify with their 18 team points and exact 100 karey total after they added 6 team points with 32kareys. They left Shengab Rongkar 4 points for their 23 kareys and Gyaltshen Duk the 2 points (20 kareys).

It was Freshers at the upper bacho in the afternoon that won the six points with their 28 kareys. Their opponents Laap Mi Shey and Jawa Ring Nga managed 19 and 16 kareys. At least, Laap Mi Shey’s Kinley Wangdi became part of the top twenty performance list today.  His name was added along with that of Karma Dorji of Druk Star, Namgay Dorji and Kinley Tenzin, both of Laya Tours.

These names have definitely changed the top twenty list, but it is headed the same as since July 18.
